ITIL in the Real World Newsletter: March 2009

Now that the silly season is well and truly over, wed like to give you an update on what weve been up to since our last newsletter way back in November. Please find below a link to our latest (mini) newsletter!

In it we announce our one-day workshops on Knowledge-Centred Support (KCS). A number of our customers have been using KCS for some time and seeing tangible results one such case is Wellington City Council and another is AMP, who won the itSMF Australias award for best presentation at last years conference. That presentation is available on the itSMF website for members to view.

We also introduce our Practice Manager, Simon Roller, who joined us in January. Simon has been keeping busy helping us further define our solutions, but has also been meeting with a number of customers. On top of that, hes prepared a webinar on Justifying the investment in Service Management, on March 24. Hell provide a number of case studies based on his experience of building business cases. A key component of the business case is ROI and Simon will explain how to build an accurate and comprehensive ROI model based on proven ITSM data. Its free, so please register on our website (click here) and expand your knowledge in how to build a Service Management business case that the CFO would buy in to!

Another new initiative is the introduction of Study Groups for the Managers Bridge, designed to help you prepare for, and thus make the most of your training (and achieve the ITIL Expert Certification!)

As always, we provide the Public Training course schedule for the next few months, a QnA column (on incorporating existing standards) and lots more!
