ProActive are proud to offer training certified by the ISEB, the
original Examination Institute (UK). This can make a difference to the
exam results! Proof of an exceptional training course provider is in the
results - and our exceptional results will prove our ability to partner
with you for your organisation's IT Service Management training needs.
WHAT EXAM RESULTS MEAN TO YOU
Manager's Certificate / Masters Exam Results are one of the clear
indicators of a Service Provider's training capability. They are
testament to not only the ability of the student to effectively transmit
what they have learned onto paper, but also the trainer's ability to
communicate the relevant information in such a way that it is taken in
and understood.
ProActive recommend that, when searching for a Service Provider for
Manager's Certificate training, you ask the following questions to
ensure you are getting the best value from your training investment -
and you'll find our answers to each of them below!
1. Who is the Service Provider's examination board?
There are two examination boards – the ISEB (Information Systems
Examination Board - UK) and Exin (Examination Institute of the
Netherlands). ProActive are accredited by the ISEB, a UK based
examination board. Exams are written IN English, not translated to
English.
There are a number of other differences between the two examination
boards which we suggest you compare as part of your decision making
process.
2. Is the class accredited?
Unless the class is accredited by one of the above organisations, it is
not considered a certified ITIL class. ProActive's courses are regularly
scrutinised and assessed by the ISEB.
3. To what level is the instructor accredited and certified? What
experience do they have?
All trainers must hold the ITSM Manager's Certificate in IT Service
Management, and must be approved by the examination institute. All
trainers teaching Service Management Essentials (the Foundation
Certificate) should also have a minimum of 5 years experience in IT
Service Management. ProActive's trainers are qualified and have the
appropriate number of years experience. In fact, one of ProActive's
trainers is the only Australian ISEB examiner and some are on the QA
board for the Service Support and Service Delivery handbooks.
4. What is the Service Provider's examination board's average pass
rate? Do they publish these statistics?
The ISEB publish their statistics on their
web site. ISEB Pass rate for the Manager's Certificate is currently
at 57%.
5. What is the Service Provider's pass rate for the Manager’s
Certificate / Masters as opposed to the examination board? Do they
publish these statistics?
ProActive are very pleased to announce that the results for the July '06
Manager's Certificate results are in, and ProActive's overall pass rate
is at 66.6%. In particular, the results for the Service Support exam
were excellent. 86.6% of students passed this exam.
6. What is the Service Provider's style of training? How do you work
towards ensuring all students pass the exams?
ProActive use a combination of classroom learning, simulation
activities, group discussions, and case studies where each individual is
encouraged to learn in their own way. ProActive provide a variety of
study techniques (including Mind Mapping, 6 Hats etc), and do not adopt
confrontational or competitive environments to achieve higher pass
rates.
7. Does the Service Provider have testimonials and references for the
Manager's Certificate/Masters?
Yes we can! There are some testimonials on our brochure material - for
the most up to date testimonials we ask that you contact us and we will
provide you with contacts on application.
